My trusty Moto G has been getting sluggish recently, and the battery life is declining, so today I took delivery of a Pixel 3a. It needs a micro-sim, so I took the bus over to Tesco at Eskbank, giving me the fine view of the Pentlands from the road out of Roslin.

I've never felt the need to spend much on a phone, but the ability of better phones to take pictures in low light that are far superior to those I take with my compact camera irks me. Hence the relatively modest step upmarket.
