Treetop Terror

This female Red-tailed Hawk is the mate to one Linda posted today. Both were dive-bombed by 12-15 crows but to no avail. These raptors feasted on who knows how many squirrels in that drey. Linda says they were there for at least two hours. I wonder which of our little buddies won't be visiting us any more for nuts and birdseed. It sucks, but that's nature for you. They have to eat, too.
