A day at the beach

To finish off my bestie's birthday weekend we packed a picnic and took a drive to Mersea Island to spend a day at the beach in a beach hut.

Perfect location, right next to cafe and car park. Beautiful beach hut, soft sand ... but the weather was a bit of a let down - overcast, breezy and the constant threat of a shower. However, we wrapped up in beach towels and braved it like the tough Brits we are!
