Devon-bound

Up early and hit the road... the weather forecast was for heavy rain and strong winds, and we had that for certain as we headed through to Peterborough and onto the A14, M6, M42 and then the M5. Stopped off at Gloucester Services as we always do, then carried on. The motorway was rammed the opposite direction - miles and miles of queues and apparently taking an extra 2 hours to get from Exeter to Bristol. Luckily we had smooth flow mostly, and arrived after 5 and a half hours. Met family in pub in Topsham, and then into our home for the week - a wonderful view of the River Exe from the lounge, garden and bedroom. Nice meal and cava to start our week.
