Different skies

We left home early today and headed on the road for the mountains, staying in Boone this time.

On the drive up we had varying skies from Carolina Blue with white fluffy clouds to dark skies and rain. Thankfully it was more sunshine than rain.

The middle photo is a place in Laurel Hill that I always like to see as we go by that way. The old repurposed building with the store name painted on the side of it. The old fashioned water tower in the background. Also the fact that there are railway lines between the road and the store meaning there is a RR crossing out front.

Have checked into our hotel, been for a leisurely meal and now back in our room for an early night so we can get a full day in tomorrow.
