lovely afternoon wondering round the streets of paris avec ma mere. we're staying near to the bastille so after arriving we wondered around the islands on the seine, including notre-dame. had the essential crepe and headed into the latin quarter, a part of paris that i haven't explored before. we went to the shakespeare & company bookshop, famous for nurturing writers such as joyce and hemingway, full of character and charm. i love how everyone looks so paris.

lovely day. time to sleep before more adventures tomorrow.
