Mother and daughter

Artist Catherine King celebrated her 60thbirthday today with an exhibition of 60 portraits of women who have influenced her life.
 
 
And the biggest influence was, and continues to be, her mother. “She has been a true inspiration to me for her kindness, compassion and work ethic,” says Catherine.
 
I photographed her with her mother, alongside her portrait, at the gallery opening tonight at the Smith museum and gallery in Stirling.
