A seat with a view on our rainy walk around Alton Water this afternoon.    We managed 18k steps round the 8.2 mile man made reservoir, such a shame that it was so overgrown that you couldn't actually see the water for long stretches, but it was great to be outside in the albeit rainy air.

The reservoir was created due to a shortage of water in the Ipswich area in the 1970's and the valley was flooded in 1987 with water pumped from the River Gipping, that's the river that runs along the bottom of my garden.
