Flower Friday: Rose in the rain

We've made it back from Edinburgh despite the gales and floods.  Its good to go away, but somehow always nicer to get back safely.

Sitting on the patio in the rain, there now blooms a single yellow rose.  Cathy pruned the plant hard earlier in the year, for good horticultural reasons (which seem to have passed me by).  It seems to have done the trick, as this lovely little bloom demonstrates.
