Old ash tree; missed owl
This old ash tree is on one of my new walks. It has a wonderful large hole towards the top of the main trunk - ideal for an owl. I couldn't resist taking a photograph, though the light was poor today. Just after I'd taken the shot and was checking how it had come out, a Tawny Owl came to the entrance. By the time I'd raised my camera again it had seen me and ducked back inside. Despite hanging around until it was almost dark, the owl didn't venture out again. Mind you Owl, I now know where you live!
