Liberated
Unedited guest phone blip by S, as I seem to have failed to take any photos. He liked the light and shade, and so do I. The wonky angle is his speciality. Incidentally the two holes on the right are pots inserted in to the wall to serve as pigeon nests. Our predecessor Michel kept them when he restored the house. Stairwell newly painted by S.
I am still using a single crutch but have mostly dispensed with them in the house. We keep one pair on each floor to save lugging them up and down stairs, but I can now carefully negotiate the stairs on my feet. Hurrah! Makes life so much easier. We even had dinner at the table this evening.
The Dashes and Canadairs started again at first light and were doing 30-minute rotations until lunchtime. Fire now under control though, and happily no-one was injured. Although some people were evacuated as a precautionary measure, their houses were undamaged. Excellent work by the hundreds of firefighters.
