In 2013 it was reported that the primary school will close its doors after 61 years and merge with the other primary school D'r Durpel.
Since then, the building has been empty and is no longer being maintained and neglected. It has been said that it would be cultivated for other purposes, e.g. housing but no final decision, as far as known, has yet been taken.
