Calm In A Teacup
Managed to get the wean into the park earlier to feed the ducks (while I jogged around the little artificial lake) but he wouldn't stay long and 'the white birds' (gulls) made him a bit nervous with their raucous fire-sale flaps and cries. He also claimed to be tired but said that he'd wanted to come on the jog/walk to make me 'proud' (bless him). Then later, as it was getting dusk, he went into the garden and I persuaded him to go for a drive to Dún Laoghaire. Lovely mild evening. I gave him some loose change to spend on the mini-fairground near the parking lot under the Pavilion. He paid for two rides in the rather sedately spinning teacups. Second time round he was the only customer. A wee bit nervous but he mastered it and enjoyed himself. We had, in our own way, a ball.
