Trainers!

We met Tom, beside Dd, for a drink this evening. They are colleagues from the British Council in Cairo. Alex, Tom's partner, joined us later and we have determined to go for a very spicy Thai meal together in September.

Tom bought my book a few months back and was very complimentary about it, which is especially nice to hear as he knows Cairo inside out. He even said, 'Nice to meet you, Alex.' which is my pen name and was touching to hear, given that it comes from my father.
