Battered Pots

The decking pots have been moved again so that I can keep an eye on them.  They took such a battering when we had the heavy rain and a lot of the pretty geraniums were mown down.  There are new buds, so hope more will grow in their place.

We had toyed with the idea of replacing all the balustrades along the decking with stainless steel supports strung with wire cables, for really low maintenance.  The wood needs cleaning and treating every year and is not a cheap job.  However, when the quote came in at over £14,000 we had to think again, so will just replace the damaged spindles and carry on as before!!

A return to the Bowls Club this afternoon, but still just watching as the shoes I've ordered did not arrive in time.  Hopefully I will be able to give it a try next week.
