Seascale and St.Bee's beach

a slower start to the day - breakfast then daddy headed to work. We headed back to the room to finish packing and then headed on a bit of a magical mystery tour.
We started down on Seascale beach - blowy, but glorious. The children loved it as we got the scooters out and had along scoot along the front. There was am amazing play area which they had great fun on. We then headed from here to St Bees. Missed the turning on the way in, but turned around and found it.

Magnificent play area, such a good idea to have two of things - two zipwires etc. We played and played here then had a lovely time on the sea front. Windy, but glorious.

Lost track of time and had to ring daddy and say we would be late picking him up! opps

Left Sellafield at 12:15. Sat Nav said we should be home by 4:40
Everyone slept apart from me.
We were going great, until the tarffic report came on saying there had been a bad accident between 23 and 22 of the M6. We were just past 24 when we started to crawl. We were stationary for some time. Overall it took about 1.5 hours to travel from where we were to past the accident! Even when we were almost home they were still saying the traffic was bad due to this accident.
Emergency toilet stop after we had cleared the accident
Daddy drove

Tea at Stafford services - then a pretty good drive to home.
