The Signwriter

Every few years it happens that we visit Whitby in August.  Big mistake!  We did, however, enjoy lunch at the Fisherman’s Wife with a great view of the sea.

Ann spotted the signwriter working on the harbour side, so I’ve chosen him instead of my view across to the Abbey.  Apart from a brief window of sunlight when we first arrived the light was very flat, so I didn’t take many photos.

We also had a brief trip to the graveyard of the Paraclete so Ann could celebrate the Feast day of the Orthodox Monastery in memory of Mother Thekla.
