In for a Penny, In For a Pound

An early walk around Bolton Abbey Estate this morning, dull at first and then lovely sunshine.
My Blip is a natural one of this felled tree trunk that has lots of pennies hammered into it.
As you pass it you often see someone adding to the collection.
Not sure why they do it - probably because they can!
I chose this part because I thought it resembled an eye.
What l did notice was there were some silver coins hammered in and a few pound coins, some people have money to burn!

After lunch , even though the wind had whipped up l managed to carry on getting out some more of the weeds and moss embedded between the block paving on our drive - a never ending task.
Mr P did a bit more painting on the outside woodwork, it’s looking much better.
Listened to the cricket on the radio, the less said the better.
We are just summoning up some enthusiasm to go to Ikea, probably after the rush hour.
