It had been a while I hadn't seen my mum, as my father came on his own the last time. It was good to see them both and we had a wonderful, though too short, time together.

Julie had a safe trip back home where she was reunited with Sookie. We fear Sherlock is no more. The friends who came to feed them while we were away only saw him for about a week after we went. It was to be expected: he was getting older at 14 and mostly he had cats' AIDS and kept losing weight even with all we fed him. Still, it will take a while to get used to the fact that he's gone...
