Media presence

After 5 hours at A& E last night I came home, full of pain relief.
Woke up feeling surprisingly good.
I have an appointment next month to talk about the next step with my Gallbladder.

Had to go back to the Court for Jury service again. Arrived to see armed Police at the entrance and a lot of media setting up their cameras etc. Realised that a big case must be happening today. Found out we weren’t involved, and it was another hearing to do with the Mosque shooting earlier this year. The accused was not here in Christchurch, he is up in Auckland at our high security prison. He didn’t even have to appear on video linkup, which is good as the less we see of him ant the less opportunity he has to say anything the better. The actual trial starts in May next year, and would you believe that he has pleaded ‘not guilty ‘ .

Us Jury folk were kept around for a few hours before it was decided we could go as the case we were in had been cancelled, for today and tomorrow.
So, my week of Jury experience has been a bit of a non event!
