Water Tower, St. John’s

I’m told these water towers are being phased out, which makes me sad because I love the dramatic forms against the sky, not to mention the iconic color. I don’t know anything about the water part, but they are certainly effective landmarks when we are walking in our friends’ neighborhood. This is our last morning in Portland, a quick walk to get some steps before we take off on a very long ride back home.
