Crane City

Denver is a bit of a boom town right now. The city is growing and there are lots of buildings going up, both commercial and residential. There are cranes all over the city. These were in LoDo (Lower Downtown), near Union Station.

A friend from long ago came to visit today. She and I shared a house together with a couple of others way back in 1985. We’ve stayed in touch although there have been times when there were several years between visits. I always enjoy spending time with her and it’s wonderful that we still get along so well after so many years!

We enjoyed trying out a new restaurant for lunch and explored parts of downtown she’d never seen. Although she lives here, she lives way out in the suburbs and it’s changing so fast that she hadn’t seen some of the new developments. She thanked me for coming to Denver so I could be a tour guide for a long time resident!
