Day 3

Well this was completely not the image I had in mind for my blip today!!!

First I was going to photograph the birds on the 'lake' on my way back from the post office. As I got there they were in perfect position and I had taken my telephoto lens to capture them splashing around. Annoyingly though I had left my memory card in the back of my computer! Doh!
In the 10 minutes that I walked home, grabbed the card and returned all the birds had flown away!

Attempt 2 was to head into the garden and try out my Macro filters again. I'm not sure I'm quite grasping the use of them very well though. At first everything was blurry..then I figured you had to get really close. I tried to capture the buds on the tree but I was too short to get close enough. On trying to capture the twigs I just couldn't get a sharp image. Everything came out blurry! I was trying shutter speeds of between 1/30 and 1/100 and using Manual focus. Through the viewfinder it looked in focus but not once taken.

If anyone has any tips I would really appreciate it!!!! As I just don't seem to be getting it right!

So the image I ended up using was a quick one I snapped between the frustration of the filters...No filter on! He Buds on the tree are looking dead and past it but I know come Spring they will flourish again, therefore I thought this was appropriate for the theme "New Beginnings".
I decided when starting the blips I'd like to include a few more quotation shots and again thought this fit well!
