Jamie Oliver is opening an Italian Restaurant in Greenwich Village and I don't mind that at all.

Just a pity the smaller local family restaurants are closing down and franchises are taking over. Seriously, who needs more Costa, Starbucks etc. The smaller shops can't afford the rent hikes and unfortunately a lot of the quirky old places are in the process of closing up shop. Sad that everything revolves around money.

Anyway, rant over....I'm inquisitive and will see if I can afford Jamie's fare.
