Seeing Stars

Day 1 of the trip involved a long drive from Windhoek into Botswana, passing through part of the Kalahari. We only stopped for lunch in a border town, so no chance of a Namibia blip.  (I'll just have to go on the tour at a later date!)

We eventually made it to Ghanzi where we were taken on an interesting bushwalk by the San bushmen.  The extra shows what I believe is their traditional accommodation (we were in chalet type rooms).  However, for me, the main attraction was the starscape which was visible once the generators were turned off and the site went completely dark.  The other extra was taken earlier, using the sidelight coming from the bar to illuminate the trees.   

I'm very glad I did take a tiny tripod and head (the one I blipped a few weeks ago)!
