An Umbrella Of Note
We went to Taunton with Kate & Sophie today as Kate had a meeting with a mortgage adviser and wanted me to be there as well. The day before we went to Menorca she was told the the landlady wants to sell the flat she's been renting since March; they're really settled there and it's only 10 minutes' walk from where she works and Sophie is going to school so she really doesn't want to have to move.
As a result she was trying to find out if she can afford to buy it (the landlady has very kindly held off putting it on the market until Kate had had the chance) and the upshot was she has put an offer in this afternoon so we're keeping fingers crossed it will be accepted.
The blip is of part of a Community Arts Project in the town's main shopping precinct, a series of umbrellas created by local students with learning difficulties. Given my love of music, this one inevitably caught my eye.
On the way back we stopped to buy Sophie's first school uniform. She looked so grown up, there wasn't a dry eye in the shop - apart from Sophie's which were alight with joy.
I'm sure I'll be blipping her in it on her first day at school!
