5pm is the new Midnight!

Rather than celebrating New Years Eve in the conventional way, in the evening, we spent most of the rest of the day having fun, eating out while Ethan was in nursery (sorry Ethan), and meeting friends in the pub at 4pm.

We even considered having a Thai or Vietnamese themed celebration at 5pm GMT to coincide with midnight there. We didn't though.
