B and I went for a wind-blown walk on Holkham Beach, it's almost always windy there, but was exceptionally so today.
We got cut off by a tidal channel and reluctantly took off our shoes and socks to cross it...it was surprisingly pleasant, and brought back memories of childhood.  Not so great when we had to cross the muddy part of the beach though!
The extra is a not-terribly good photo of a goldcrest, these beautiful tiny birds were hopping around in the conifers at the back of the beach, and I head their high-pitched calling, so tried to take a photo...but they don't keep still at all and kept disappearing behind pine needles and branches.  Great to see and hear them though.
