missed the train

Had to take the car to the garage for a service so put the bike in the boot so I could go for a ride after.
First headed toward town to collect some train tickets and then along the river cycleway and into Invergowrie where I did a loop round the village plus a wee detour. This was on the detour and I'd just passed a train going across the embankment through the old quarry. The wateriness is more obvious from this vantage point than when on the train.
I stopped at the village cafe for a bacon roll and tea before returning home sort of on the green circular route. (I had another short cycle in the afternoon to take Mr Rat his debit card so he could run down to the garage to collect the car). Gort slightly wet on this one as, contrary to forecast, we've had heavy showers all afternoon>
A bit more work on the house and ran out of wool for the shawl I'm knitting so phoned the makers. I had the number of balls it said, knitted it as per pattern and to the right tension (or even slightly tight) and ran out with about 200 stitched to knit. I'm waiting for the shop to get back to me, I shouldn't have to buy a whole new ball.
Also a problem with the community newsletter, it was sent to a shop in England instead of the Dundee one! They're going to print me a new run for Friday.
