Out with the larks - well almost!
Taken at 7.30 this morning and I was probably half an hour into my walk by then. A fairly slow and drifty walk, camera in hand, enjoying the sunshine and the views. I probably didn’t’t walk much more than two miles in total, but it was good to be out. I’m lusting after this farmstead on the horizon. It’s actually straight across from where we are staying this week, but our barn conversion is down in the dip below the sheep.
We dropped my brother off so he could set out up Danby Rigg for a long walk this morning. We managed to get as far as the North York Moors Centre in Danby (not much more than a two mile round trip, though with a steep climb out at the end) and we were both tired.
We enjoyed the Open Art Exhibition in the centre, and I chose my favourite. I felt the one I chose was different and quite inspirational, part narrative and part abstract pattern.
Butterflies: peacocks, painted ladies, small copper, meadow browns, wall, small whites.
