Growing Up
Miss E has been coming to Stowe since she was born. Before she was born in fact!!
It took my breath away today seeing her sat on this bench looking almost unrecognisably grown up. A glimpse into the young woman she's on the verge of becoming.
They didn't want to come to Stowe today and it was usual moan fest getting them out . But of course as soon as they were out they loved it!! See extras for them acting out a bit of heraldry in a temple! I think they were a dolphin and a horse!
I walked over with Archie - need to get my miles back up! - and met them in the cafe for lunch before our walk.
It was such a gorgeous day! When we got to the Secret Garden there was an enormous sycamore tree which was shedding its helicopter seeds all over the place. Just as we arrived there must have been a gust of wind because hundreds were fluttering down in a huge cloud. Amazing!
The Little Misses and Mr K spent the next half hour standing under the tree and trying to catch them. There wasn't a repeat of the huge shower of them so the anticipation of the next one was surprisingly exciting!! It was hard to drag ourselves away. After the next one......
I had to remind myself tonight that Miss L still has school tomorrow. Because Miss E finished last week it feels like we're on holiday and I have to remember Miss L doesn't break up until Thursday!
So it was baths, uniform washing and bag sorting tonight. Only a few more days to go!!!
