Diary of an Edinburgher

Muscles!

A busy day, with lots of comings and goings, including two outings (and three beard washes) for Archie.

I went along to the NHS physiotherapist, which was quite a productive session. She told me that my legs were quite strong ('for an old biddie with dodgy knees' she didn’t add) and so she reckons it's my back causing the pains in my legs. Or possibly Polymyalgia (PMR). I see the consultant in a couple of weeks re my back MRI, so perhaps he'll have some news then. On the way back I stopped at the canal.

Archie was out with Becky when I came home. (Extra) A chap came to collect a lamp I had sold and it had to be couriered down to Essex, and a neighbour's unwanted bed was delivered here, for Elizabeth to come and pick up in a day or two. And then Isobel came to pick up Arch for another big walk. She's been away in London for the summer, and is now back in Kirkcaldy Hospital on a placement.

I also did an extra whizz on the bike, newly enthused by the news that my leg muscles are 'quite strong'. So all my hard work on the cross trainer and bike since the knee operations has not been in vain.
