Ravencrest Chalet

It was a beautiful morning just outside of Estes Park. I wish I could have stayed just a little longer to enjoy another day, this time without the stormy weather we had yesterday. Chris and Bonnie and I had breakfast on their deck overlooking Twin Sisters Peak. The chalet is not their house, but it is up the hill a short walk. Ravencrest Chalet is a retreat centre and that is where I worked way back in 1983! Chris was the director at the time, so I guess he was my boss! He has recently retired - for the second time, so he can enjoy relaxing breakfasts in the sunshine!

It was soon time to leave. There was an appointment in nearby Longmont and I was dropped off at the Park n’ Ride and was able to take an hour’s bus back to Denver. It all worked out perfectly as Estes Park would be difficult to get to without a car.

I was back ‘home’ by early afternoon and I had a relaxing rest of the day (staying out of the heat!), which included another swim in the pool, this time before bedtime.
