Green and pleasant land

This morning we decided on a walk, but as the land is so wet after yesterday we stuck to the roads. A lovely walk in drizzle, and heavy rain but on the return journey it brighten up a bit.

Mid afternoon we decided to go to west Burton to see the waterfall. It was deafening but amazing and I got lots of great water pictures. We walked up and above the falls which we’d never done before and were rewarded with a wonderful view of Castle Bolton and the full glory of Wensleydale. The skies were still grey but it wasn’t raining and we briefly saw a little sun, enough to cast a few shadows.
