Female Cardinal

It seems like it has been ages since I posted a backyard bird.  They are actually quite difficult to capture this time of year because of all the dense foliage.

We are breathing a sigh of relief as we have put our grandchildren on the plane to return home to their parents.  We had a fabulous time, and I am pretty sure they did too, but we are very, very tired.  Looking forward to a week of quiet.  It's been a while.
