Nikon trouble

Can anyone help me. The Nikon has started behaving badly. It is refusing to focus sometimes or not shooting when it does focus. The focus points won't light up neither and on the odd occasion when it does decide to shoot its very sensitive.

I feel like I'm losing a pal :-)
