Daytrip to Brighton

It was decreed that we should visit Brighton. We did this with no preparation. Literally walking to Clapham junction Train Station, purchasing some tickets and travelling.
It was gorgeous. I don't think we could have asked for a nicer day really!

At one point abandoning my mother on the pier, on a bench, with her Daily Mail. She seemed quite content being left to read. 
We explored all the wee side-streets in the blazing heat. 

Getting back to the station was a bit of a mission, but we got there in the end.  I even remembered the "get me a present" requests this time.
