The Old Forge (Saturday 10th August 2019)

Speckled Wood in the porch, taking shelter on the front door glass from the wind and rain. Not a particularly good macro; I'm in awe of those blippers who seem to effortlessly master them.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Nirvana - Tiny Goddess (recorded 21 June 1967,  Olympic Sound, Barnes; overdubs 1968 at Pye Studios, Marble Arch)
This is the album version of the single Tiny Goddess by the original English band Nirvana, who comprised songwriters Patrick Campbell Lyons, Alex Spyropoulos and Ray Singer, augmented by Michael Coe, Brian Henderson and cellist Sylvia A Schuster, who worked over ten years at the BBC Radio Orchestra as principal cellist. She was classically trained at the Royal Academy of Music. As the musicians were permitted any creative input, the cello part went on a continuo after the instrumental break - extremely rare in pop music and one of the stand-out features of Tiny Goddess. I played this from a new 2CD, Rainbow Chaser: The 60s Recordings.
