Work in progress..

OK so this is not as beautiful and enticing a photograph as the one for 1 January (and thanks for those who re-tweeted or commented so kindly on it). But it does capture the harsh reality of 3 January: I am back at work.

You will no doubt be impressed by how organised my desk is looking. I am analysing some data and trying to make sense of it for a cultural review of three colleges in Scotland. It can be quite painstaking work, and as I have been at it since about half past eight this morning, I thought a break was in order. So I decided to photograph the desk, not least because I'll be chained to it for the rest of today and won't get out to take an alternative photo.
