Today Is The Last Day of the Past of Your Life

My Dear Fellows and Dear Princess,

Today I took Caro to the airport for her flight to Auckland. It's only a short flight and I'll be seeing her on Thursday, but still I felt like I was packing her off for a trip around the world.

The next time I see her, she will have had her surgery and her new life will have started. I'm still not quite sure what this will mean for us. Caro has lots of ambitious plans for what she will do with herself, once her life changes.

So I packed her off and I think we were both quite emotional about it. Not that I think things are going to get worse; quite the opposite. But these last 20 years have been pretty good too.

Of course, I bought her some mags to travel with. Things won't be changing THAT much.

S.
