Raining (cats and) dogs

Heavy rain showers all day. August? Really?! It seems that  a lot of Northumberland is under water this evening, and the forecast for the next few days isn't good.

Thought I'd go to the local shop between showers this afternoon. Inside for only a few minutes, but was very glad of my new umbrella on the way home. Contemplated buying a black one, but this seemed much more fun!

While MrM was in Alnwick playing at a ceilidh this afternoon, I attempted to put the fabric of the gazebo away in its box, only to discover that the 'walls' were still decidedly wet around the 'windows'. So, 2 weeks after the event, it's now draped all around the flat, drying off properly...
