I said my goodbyes and still had a little time to spare so popped into the Church of St Nicholas in Loutraki. I have never entered this church before and what a treat it is!

Then the ferry and the bus ride through the forested mountains of Evvia where the pine trees are being tapped for resin with which to make delicious Retchina; white wine with flavour of lavatory cleaner.

Now at my hotel in Athens where to my tremendous surprise, my economy single room has been given a free upgrade to a penthouse suite. I think I might try to enjoy my final night here.
