Down to the beach

After a lot of rain overnight this morning dawned primo, but very chilly and our mountains sporting an amount of snow. Some of the inland passes were closed over night because of the snow, crazy isn't it at this time of the year.

After the families departed this morning Doug and I went for a walk along the beach to clear our head and have some "us" time. Nice.

We have just returned from dinner a Waimate. Its late, I am feeling really tired. I haven't really looked at the images I took but picked this one quickly as I liked the layers of colours and DOF. The darker blue is a small lagoon that runs parallel with the ocean.
