Tamales

Out at our Texan friends today for a lesson in Tamale manufacture (and eating). Messy but fun to assemble. These are the finished items wrapped in corn husks and ready to go into the steamer. Enjoyed them with a nice Waiheke red, salad, salsa and guacamole so we rolled home with full tummies. Thanks for the comments and stars on yesterday's experimental tulips.
