The thought behind it

Observation for the new year: I like when someones gives me cut flowers, even though they are technically dead already. I like the thought behind it. The thought behind a gift is all one should pay attention to, in my opinion. But one should never voice that, because when you do, it sounds like an insult.

Another good thought that is better not to voice because it sounds like an insult is: Wow, you have lost a lot of weight. You look fantastic!! Would you ever say to someone: wow, you have put on a lot of weight. You look like crap!!?

Just a thought.

The hard drive clean-up and back-up continues. Four doc appointments have been made, even one for the kitty. Lord help me I have to somehow get her with her talons and feral attitude into the kennel next week.
