Aloe - a

It's definitely aloe season.

Stopped to capture this one en route, home from the gym.  Did the usual : reading,  STEPPING and zen pilates.

PS.  Today's read, mind blowing - it was all about the pineal gland, the chief secretor of melatonin.  The mind blowing part, very little of the melatonin is actually secreted into the blood..... very little.  Relatively speaking a DRIBBLE.  The melatonin all goes, TRUCK LOADS OF THE STUFF,  into the brain.  Where it washes through the third ventricle, doing........ MAGIC !

The take home :  SLEEP is seriously important for brain health.  Of course, I already knew that..... what I suspected, but didn't KNOW.

Light at night, means brain health IS COMPROMISED, even if you're not having trouble sleeping.  And people who are taking melatonin as a sleep aid.................are pissing in the wind.

I decided to track the pineal gland.  Not a hard decision. Pubmed has  literally nothing on this pea sized gland in the centre of your head.
