To Bling or not to Bling
Less is more, so the saying goes. Well, this appears to be the case when watches are concerned. I saw this preety, very small watch in a jeweller opposite the supermarket about a year ago. I enquired about the price and made a hasty retreat. I looked at it again recently and thought I would really like it........
My brother, who is a matchmaker, had to tell me what the word bling meant, as I genuinely didn't know the meaning. I haven't caught the bug yet. This watch is as simple as they come, with a very small silver face and a plain black band. I tried to find something similar, cheaper, but to no avail. Whilst the boys were in Europe I saw a second hand one on ebay. I tried to ignore it but the pull was too great. I put down one bid and walked away, half hoping that someone was prepared to pay more. But no, the hammer came down and this little timepiece was sent from Wodonga to Sydney and arrived on my doorstep yesterday. Interestingly, Pandora package it in a HUGE box to make up for it's miniature size.
It was hard to photograph because of it's size: it needed to be on a wrist to highlight that. So, it's mine and I will enjoy, despite the fact that Bling is all the rage. Fashion is cyclical and when small is in, I'll be leading the way.
