Logged on early; e mailed an argumentative punter (yes he was!) and as I set out, the rain started.
To Gorgie and it's flaming pavements as witnessed by anth (i'm sure he'll blip what he posted on Instagram). An hour and a half with someone who wished to dispute our records going back 25 years.... the joy. Then the pace slackened as by this time the sun had come out and so did the camera. Into the Grassmarket and onto the New Town and Stockbridge. Again there was slack in the schedule so I hit FSA and their portraits exhibition (there's a couple of stunning pieces in there - Niall McDermiad photo of his baby son and a painting by ??? - need to check) then across to the Open Eye for John Busby - some stunning paintings there too but the Barabra Rae one of Yesnaby is brilliant - both in colour and execution.
Back to work; a sprint around Leith for 3 and then across again to Stockbridge to wrap it all up, and then home. Late lunch and an afternoon of phone calls and write ups.
But it's Friday so I stopped after 4; to Bloc to say hi and then into town via a lettuce purchase and to Hers for yet more smoked salmon and then a burger.
She fell asleep so Paul Currie will wait another day and I slid home quietly on the bike - oh it's good to have a non humming one - and into a deep sleep
