BECKY

We had a busy day today. This morning we went to The Metrocentre ( shopping centre ) and spend a few hours scouring the shops for bargains. Most of my purchases consisted of stuff to give Becky next Christmas... started my Christmas shopping early. We had a sandwich and drink during a break in the shopping.

Came home and caught up with a few household chores - washing up, washing etc.

At 7pm we got a taxi into Newcastle as we had a table booked at Marco Pierre White's restaurant in The Indigo Hotel. Becky and Mike enjoyed their food but I was a bit disappointed with mine..... although the dessert of white chocolate panna cotta, vanilla ice cream and passion fruit coulis was delicious. We had a cocktail in the bar before getting a taxi home.

Neil arrived back in the UK this morning and got home just before we left to go out shopping. He was worn out so he had a nap before going to work at 1pm. He didn't finish till 9.30pm. So we haven't seen much of him since he got back but I gather he had a great time in Northern Ireland.

NewcastleUnited were playing tonight - at home to Everton. The score was Newcastle 1 Everton 2. Yet another home game defeat. Newcastle had better buck their ideas up soon or they will have a relegation battle on their hands.
