6ft And Counting
6ft and what I hear you say ! well explain yourself Youngie ok then for CrossCountry Drivers and in the rule book it states we have to stop no closer than 6ft from the buffer stops The CrossCountry Professional Driving Policy states that when a train is going into a bay platform we have to be 10mph at the ramp then 5mph one coach length from the buffers and stop no closer than 6ft from the buffer stop well it looks like I got it spot on tonight on my first of two trips to Glasgow today so now you know , the last few days either side of New Year I have done nothing but Rant at people first it was a workmate who chastised me in front of the traveling public at Newcastle on the 30th and he had the benefit of a tongue lashing from Youngie in Locker room 1 on the 31st as his misunderstanding and me being in the right warranted a full apology being the professional I am I bit my tongue at the time and pulled him in the locker room and said I was going to give him the courtesy he had not afforded me the day before by saying my piece out of earshot of the traveling public and fellow workmates as he was totally out of order especially when he was practicing double standards at me so I pointed out the errors of his way and once he apologized for being out of line that was it and back to being buddies I had earlier had a rant at my Pharmacist as well as my blood pressure tablets were not in when I was due to get them which I ordered ages ago so when she told me the surgery was closed and I wont get them till Thursday I said to her so while the doctor is finishing his last of the christmas turkey sandwiches at home its ok for me to suffer HBP she said she could do nothing until Thursday I said can I not get one of my boxes of tablets earlier as on of the symptoms of my HBP is bad migraines not good for driving trains still no was the reply so my parting shot as I was walking out the pharmacy to her was don't worry when I take my Aneurysm or Heart Attack at 125mph driving to Leeds I will keel over and be deid but the passengers will be ok as the emergency brakes will come on Arrgghhh and then my rant for today was on my arrival at Glasgow Central This wee Nyaff of a jobsworth with a yellow bib chastised me for taking photos in the station he said you cant take photos in the station I said say's who he replied my duty manager I replied who does he work for knowing fine well the guy was wearing a bib for another TOC so he told me his company name as if I didn't know what his reply would be I told him who owns the station he replied Network Rail correct now bugger off as I have Network Rails and The British Transport Police permission to do so, so do as it says on your bib and give the Customers Assistance even bigger AAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHH starting to get seriously pissed off with jobsworths these days do I look like Al Quida or Taliban with my Train Drivers uniform on Oh I do hope these tablets arrive tomorrow my mate say's I'm like Michael Douglas in the 1993 film Falling Down watch out Youngie's about to crack tha'ts what happens when you don't get a day off from the 26th till this Friday I'm Fooked anyhow hope everyone is well and I wasn't practicing double standards with the wee Nyaff as I spoke to him behind one of the lifts down to the vaults under the platforms and not in front of his co-workers or passengers. hurrumfff
